News in Pastores

This past month has been full of exciting things; one including this website, thanks to Brian and Jenni White great friends of ours who were here in Guatemala. Please be patient as it is still a work in progress and we will be adding and changing things.

Paso a Paso will distribute school supplies in the middle of November. We will receive copies of the children’s reports and find out how they did in school this past year. This past year we sponsored 115 children to attend school. For the next school year we will have about 130 children. We have about 28 children who need to be sponsored monthly. Their fees range from $10 a month to $50. If anyone is interested they can check the website for more information on sponsoring a child for the year. We still need about $4000 to cover the cost of the children and their supplies for the year.

For our job training projects we are working with Naya who sews and will do some teaching to other women. We have blankets for sale along with other items that can be seen on the site, check back as we hope to add more things shortly.

Please keep Rolando, the blind pastor we work with and his family in prayer. His mother has been suffering from several things lately and is in need of extra medical care the family can not pay for. The other pastor Felipe is also asking for prayer for his wife who is suffering from problems in the brain that require surgery.

In the next month we will install a stove in the community for one of the many needy families. We also hope to check up on the water filters we have installed. It has been raining just about everyday since we have been here so praise praise God the rainy season is coming to the end!
