School Supply Distribution

This past week has been a busy time in Guatemala. We were blessed to be able to give out school supplies to over 115 children. This year we decided to go door-to-door to deliver the supplies. This meant a lot of hiking up and down the hills here, with Rolando our blind pastor as our guide! It was wonderful to meet some of the other family members of the students and show them the love of Christ. The families were extremely thankful for all the help. It was also an eye opener for us to see that most families still have about 7 or more children. This means more children to sponsor each year and more family needs. We have about 28 students this year that will attend secondary school and are in need of sponsorship for their monthly fees. Calvary Chapel of Camarillo will be holding an event to raise money for Paso a Paso and the students here to cover the cost of the school supplies and other school fees, we are extremely grateful for the their support.We are still working on job training for the women. We have some beautiful blankets and purses and handmade recycled paper that the women have made. These are available for purchase, email us for more info. We hope that several of the women in the community will step up to teach other women and share the gospel too. We are trying to reach out to everyone in the community through our ministry.
