We have been back in Guatemala working for our second week and have been staying busy. I have been able to review several of the students reports and see how they are doing in school and praise God they are doing well. We have several projects planned over the next two months and we will be sure and keep you updated. We will be doing a very special project in Barrio la Cruz called Paso a Paso Contigo (Step by step with you). We will work with a different family each day, some mothers, fathers, single parents etc and see exactly what their lives are like day to day and interacting in what they do and working side by side with them. We hope this will be a chance to get to know the families even better and to share this with our supporters and those that are interested. This will be done for a few days in Ocotber and a few days in November and we will document each day on the website.
In addition we hope to do a few repairs on some homes and visit most of the families in our student program to see how we can serve them better and be praying for them. We will be taking count of all the students for the program for next year and asking for sponsorship. Please consider giving to this great cause and help send a child to school that would not be able to attend otherwise.
Things you can be praying for now:
Rolando’s mother has been very ill from complications from a hernia surgery and has been in the hospital multiple times, pray for quick recovery and that she would not require any further surgery.
The students finish school in October, pray they all pass their final test and stay safe during the time off school and return to school after the break.
Pray for safety for us in Antigua and traveling to and from our work sites in Pastores.
Praises:
That God has been faithful in providing for us to be here once again and work for the people of Guatemala.
Praise God for such wonderful volunteers in the community ready to help and wanting change to come.
