Educational Support
There are over 150 children in our education program all of whom require sponsorship. A child can be sponsored for just $10 a month, just $120 a year! This provides their schools supplies, supplements to their families and gives us the chance give in other ministry areas. Click on our Educational Support Link for more information on the students!

Water Safety / Water Filters
We are installing bi-sand filters in Barrio la Cruz. They remove over 98% of bacteria and 100% of parasites. Dehydration from diarrhea is a leading cause of death among young children. We are slowing training the families in the importance of water safety and clean water and using this as a way share the gospel. A water filter can be purchased for about $30 and the family is involved in making the filter and learning how to use and maintain it.

Job Training
We are working on establishing a job training program. The goal is to pair skilled artisans with others to train them in their area of skill. We are currently working with a boot maker Marcial and his family. We have seem his business and his family grow. He has been able to train a worker, make more for his family and continue building his home. We are also developing training for women and sewing and other skills.

Stoves / Fire Safety
Women in Barrio la Cruz cook using an open flame and often in areas that are low to the ground and in enclosed area. This causes many accidents, health problems and other risk for the families. These stoves produce high levels of carbon monoxide and the women get many respiratory infections and small children often fall into these low flames. We are installing safe, wood burning, efficient stoves. They use less wood, have a chimney, and are more efficient for the women and children. We have installed 4 stoves and hope to install several stoves a year.
